SIGNS and SYMPTOMS of DIABETES

Hi there,

Welcome to my website about the different signs and symptoms of diabetes.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share with you the reason why I created this website.

My name is Ryan and I’m very interested in learning more about Diabetes because of my parents and grandparents pre-existing conditions with this disease.

I know that this is a lifelong disease and I know that it can be debilitating and frustrating especially when the disease starts affecting your Vital organs like your eyes, kidneys, and liver.

And of course there is the fear of being amputated for gangrenous infections that has been caused by wounds not healing properly when you have Diabetes Mellitus.

 

Recently I’ve learned that by educating ourselves with the disease, we can actually increase our chances of controlling our glycemic levels. This has been evidenced by the study conducted here.

Although there are great medical advances with the treatment and management of Diabetes, let me share with you a simple picture on how the disease is ranked among the leading causes of death among Americans…

 

It is now ranked 4th among the leading causes of death among Americans following Cancer, Smoking Related and Heart Disease. I’m not sure but 100 years ago, Diabetes has not even been discovered or is not one of the leading causes of death for people.

Preparation, Education, and Discipline are the keys to preventing Diabetes, Managing Diabetes and living with Diabetes.

I will share information about the different signs and symptoms of Diabetes and I will provide simple explanations as much as possible. I will also cite references to third party websites if I have found relevant information on what I have just posted.

Here are just some shocking news about Diabetes Mellitus. It has now become a worldwide disease, causing death and suffering in many countries especially developed nations.

  • The World Health Organization is now estimating about 3 Million Deaths annually that are attributed to Diabetes.
  • Some Commonly known Diabetes drug can increase the risk of Heart Disease
  • Diabetes can also increase the risk for developing Colorectal cancer as can be read from the article here.

Personally, from what I have seen from my parents and grandparents conditions, it would be much easier if they had changed their lifestyles, exercised more, eat healthier foods before rather than waiting for their Diabetes conditions to worsen.
